Use of Nuri
Nuri is a food label and shopping habit assistant. It helps interpret product, basket, and shopping pattern information. You are responsible for your own food choices and for verifying product labels before purchase or consumption.
Not medical advice
Nuri does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or allergy safety guarantees. If you have a medical condition, allergy, intolerance, pregnancy-related dietary need, or other health concern, consult a qualified professional and verify the product pack.
Product data
Product information can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Nuri may rely on third-party databases, manual submissions, and product labels. The product packaging is the authoritative source at the time of purchase.
Ask Nuri
Ask Nuri provides concise explanations using product data, dietary preferences, and guidance sources. AI-generated responses may contain errors or omissions and should be treated as informational guidance only.
Privacy and data controls
Nuri may store local and account-backed data to provide saved baskets, history, preferences, cost analytics, and personalized guidance. You can delete Nuri app data from Settings. Shared product cache data may remain because it is general product information rather than personal shopping history.
Free and Plus tiers
Nuri ships with two tiers:
- Free — scan any product, view its Nuri verdict, the EU 1169/2011 nutrition panel, ingredients and allergens. The free scanner does not require an account or subscription.
- Plus — adds saved shopping baskets, monthly Almanac analytics (four-pillar trends and spend pacing), trip history, and AI-backed Ask Nuri ingredient guidance.
Subscriptions, billing and auto-renewal
Nuri Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store as an in-app purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Plus is offered in two billing periods: monthly at £3.99 and annual at £29.99 (UK launch pricing — local taxes and currency apply elsewhere).
- New monthly subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. Payment begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- If you switch between plans, the change takes effect at the next renewal.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
You can manage, change, or cancel your Nuri Plus subscription at any time:
- Open Settings on your device → tap your name → Subscriptions → tap Nuri Plus.
- From there you can change the renewal period, turn off auto-renewal, or cancel. Cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep Plus features until that date.
- Use Restore purchases in the Nuri paywall to re-enable Plus on a different device signed into the same Apple ID.
Refunds
All refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple per their Media Services Terms. Request a refund via reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, submit unlawful content, or attempt to reverse engineer protected services.
Limitation of liability
Nuri is provided on an as-is basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for decisions made based on incomplete or inaccurate product data, AI responses, or user-entered information.
